Not using plastic bags is not going to get us anywhere. What's the alternative?
As far as global warming is concerned, Anna, I suggest that you read
more up-to-date scientific research on it. Latest studies have shown that the whole theory of connection between the mentioned environmental issues and global warming is false, and it has been proven to be ludicrous by a number of scientists. They genuinely do not know the reasons for global warming, it's as simple as that.
So it still remains to be seen.
As far as recycling is concerned: a friend works in the industry and has a degree in environmental studies, and he says that a lot of times the process of recycling proves to be
more energy-consuming than manufacturing goods from scratch. So what is the point?
It is all not all black and white, dear Anna, and the topic remains rather under-researched and thus, controversial. So it's too early to say anything or have harsh judgements on the subject.
Not sure about the connection between eating meat and the environmental issues.
As for answers to the author:
1. Don't think so.
2. If I have an alternative, why not indeed.
3. In the light of the above, as we don't know for sure that it brings a definitive benefit, - no, I am not proud.
4. Will think about that one!
