That's what I'm asking about. What kind of discussion? The discussion can be like the one described by Stanislaw Lem in his 'The Futurological Congress'. There were too many people who wanted to make a speech during the Congress. So all the participants got booklets with all the speeches before the meetings. Each speaker would call out the page number and the paragraph number, so that the listeners could find it in the booklet. That's how everyone knew what the speaker was trying to say - his/her concepts and theses. To prove his/her ideas the speaker would - again - call out the paragraph numbers, which contained the examples, proofs, illustrations, and clarifications. Discussions were similar. Someone in the audience would stand up and call out the page and paragraph number which pointed to the idea s/he would like to bring up. And so on. So, the discussions went like this: Speaker: - Page 489, #1, because # 4, 5, and 7. Man from audience: - It's not true because page 512, #3-6. Speaker: - But page 525, # 3 and 8. And so on.
