As to me, It's easier to remember the words and phrases when the movie is not too serious, light, usually it's a comedy. I mean, a head is not overloaded with serious stuff, and can catch the words. When you watch the movie several times, some phrases stick into your mind. Romantic movies are also good. Basicly, everything you like and will watch with pleasure.
For me it was 'The Pirates of the Carabian', 'Men in Tights', 'The Mask' and others. The animated movies are also good, becuase they are easy and catchy. For example 'The Lion King', 'The Road to Eldorado' and others.
I would say that the movies with a lot of slang, or when they speak too fast, or in too low voice, or with the accent, like 'God Father', 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', 'Snatch' - is the advanced level
