Hi Kila, Thanks for the nice topic. Let's chat about weather. I've almost got confidence that we have normal winter at last with a lot of snow and good temperature below zero. And suddenly it's again came warm and snow began to melt... What weather you have now and like best of all? What is your view on nice weather? |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 25.11.2011 - 22:49 |
Hi! Thank you for the answer. When I was a child (about million years ago) I liked winter, now I don’t like it. I hate cold weather. I love summer, I want summer all the time! Do you really love winter? |
Àâòîð: Ôîð 26.11.2011 - 10:28 |

Àâòîð: ÊèËà 26.11.2011 - 13:41 |
I have two cats. Tomcats. Both are sick, especially my older cat. He is very old and very sick. He can die easy. In my flat is repair now and I have no place to make me feel comfortable. This situation makes me feel nerves – I have stomachache… O, sorry, you ask me about weather? - Not bad, not bad… |
Àâòîð: Rainman17 28.11.2011 - 11:13 |
)) It's like in the old song "The most important is the 'weather' in home, and other circumstances could be solved with the umbrella." Weather changed a bit - there is no snow and very unpleasant weak rain flushing the all day. Day before yesterday we went to make shashlik and all salads and sandviches on the table went wet very fast.. |
Àâòîð: Rainman17 28.11.2011 - 11:15 |

This phrase looks to be liked by young persons who experienced unhappy love.. I would offer another couple of phrases. Life is not a bed of roses Neither full of thorns It's beautiful It's wonderful Needed to be careful Life is aim Aiming for fame Hard working in pain Sometimes in vain But no pain no gain |

Àâòîð: Òàòÿ 10.12.2011 - 00:48 |
Very cheerful videos you watch, ÊèËà! (It's a sarcasm))) I guess detective story is such kind of genre that a murder is normal in it, and everyone expects it. And it's not a point of a book, or a movie. The point is how a detective cracks the case and finds the murderer. |
Àâòîð: Rainman17 10.12.2011 - 08:33 |
What book do you like to read, Tatya? My favourite are fiction ones, where heroes are living in a far future.. |

Hello, guys. Sorry to interrupt you but I've noticed something that could be improved in your "chat" here - some details that will help you sound in a more "English" way. But I'm not sure in how to better do it - review the messages with some further comments or maybe you'd like it more to ask about some rules - grammar or vocabulary?.. - I may not know some exact rules as they are given in the books but I can advice on the most typical way of saying/writing some stuff. As a professional English Translator I'd like to try and help you with your English from time to time.. If you don't mind it of course. Please don't hesitate and let me know if you need any support. Regards, Nadya |

Return to the phrase : "No one love ..."
It's complicated..... Have a many aspects. That aspects depend of how you define "love" and who is "no one" One of the aspects is easy for understanding: for THIS aspect - No one = No one from OTHER PEOPLE Would you like to talk about this aspect? |
Àâòîð: Ôîð 19.12.2011 - 01:48 |
I don't mind it. I agree with ÊèËà. I can't tell about all, but i need help in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and a lot of what else. Thanks a lot for yours support. |

When it will be winter here at last? |
Àâòîð: Nadena 20.12.2011 - 14:54 |
Ôîð, Tigrenok is right about the use of "your" and "yours" - in the first case you shall use it in constructions like "YOUR+Noun" (e.g."Your Friend). If you want to use the second variant - better use it in a construction "Noun+OF YOURS" (e.g., a friend of Yours). As for the phrase "..and a lot of what else.." - better say "and a lot more". It makes more sense :-) |
Àâòîð: Ôîð 21.12.2011 - 23:13 |

Àâòîð: usta 25.08.2012 - 17:17 |
Hi Killa, May I be your chatter as everyone's somhere in the fog? Your conversation with your old topic reminds me of a nice story of desolation but also a fairy tale for public. Wanna hear that? |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 25.08.2012 - 19:00
yes, I do |
Àâòîð: usta 25.08.2012 - 20:16 |
Okay, so: there was a scientist, around 30, I think, who was sent to a deserted military outpost at Kola Peninsula. He was doing something connected to global warming research. He had a dog, a sattelite internet connection, 20 kilo of pelmeni and three months to go. And there was a drama ahead :-) Interested? |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 25.08.2012 - 23:02
I don't understand!!
go on foot??! Why does't he use a car? |
Àâòîð: usta 26.08.2012 - 08:04 |
well. "to go" means - until the heli'd have come and took him back. He didn't have to go anywhere - he'd just stayed there and did his research, taking small trips around the base. He made a post at lepra.ru about his life there and asked how should he plan his scarce food supplies until the heli comes. He's got a lot of funny and useful advises on how to cook pelmeni, he chattered a lot about his life there and the beauty of nature. Until something very good started to happen. Suddenly he wasn't alone there. There was a geologist expedition passing by, and for couple of weeks they'd stay somewhere neear his place. And there was a girl in that expedition he really liked. And he started asking public what he should to to interest her! So the drama begins :-) Still interested? |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 26.08.2012 - 11:06
yep This is a story about love and pelmeni But why pelmeni?! It's not very healthy foot at all! And where did he hold it? Was there a refrigerator? |
Àâòîð: usta 26.08.2012 - 14:24 |
Well, as far as I know, his feet were healthy. What about the food :-) - well, he was a scientist, not some vegan or any other metrosexual guy. So - as the story goes - he got a great advice from the mob and he used it to become closer with that girl. And that advice worked perfectly. Can you guess what was the advice in the light of what've been said? :-) |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 26.08.2012 - 16:21 |
live journal? something like this: "My dear journal, now I'll tell about some amazing girl....." |
Àâòîð: usta 26.08.2012 - 17:04 |
He just told that girl the whole thing about the helicopter coming in 3 months, about the dog barking at wolves while the moon is low and finaly - about the f&*^ng pelmeni he could see no more. And such was the power of that story as well the dignity of that person that the geologist girl fell in love with him. I don't know what was the end of the story, but I hope that they're together now, happy and free to choose their meals. But the harsh conditions got that guy to meet his love. So when you'll be going to a Cola Peninsula or any other desolated military outpost (who knows what you'll choose ^-)) - look for those scientists to save from sure death without love and with unhealthy food :-) End of story. |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 26.08.2012 - 22:48 |
Why my conversation with my old topic reminds you this story? |
Àâòîð: usta 27.08.2012 - 07:46 |
cause it's like that outpost: you have internet and there's no one around you |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 27.08.2012 - 11:33

My old topic, it seems we are again alone - only you and me Tell me, my dear old topic, have you ever heard about Rosemary's baby? What? You ask me "book or movie"? Book and movie! Do you know how I about Rosemary's baby learnt ? Do you want to find out? Chapter 1, how I read "Rosemary's baby in russian" It started about a million years ago, when in 1997 I was returning home from Baltic sea by train and hadn't a book to read. I bought a wonderful one name "Devil's ladder"... I was traveling in compartment number 13, in 13 place |
Àâòîð: Òèãðåíîê 28.08.2012 - 06:42 |
ÊèËà Tell me more about that book, please. |
Àâòîð: ÊèËà 28.08.2012 - 11:08 |
There are 3 novels in the book: the first one - "Rosemary's baby" by Ira Levin, two others are "The Omen" by David Seltzer and "Devil's dolls of madam Mendilip" by Abraham Merritt It's very interesting that "Devil's ladder" is the name of the book in russian, in english - "The Pure Fear". And.... "Devil's dolls of madam Mendilip" is the name of the novel in russian, in english - "And Burn, Witch, Burn!" )) All three novels are not just horror stories, they are real mystic! Òèãðåíîê, do you like mystic? All three novels are perfect, but "Rosemary's baby" is the best of them. |
Àâòîð: Òèãðåíîê 29.08.2012 - 16:57 |

Guy and Rosemary Woodhouse are very happy. They rent the beautifully apartment in the Bramford, Guy is given an important part in a stage play, Rosemary is pregnant. It seems everything going to be roses garden but….. Roman Polansky made film with the same name. Have you ever heard about it? it’s very famous. I had a very strange feeling then I read book ( in English). It seems that author believe that this story is real….
